FMP - Leaflet Experimentation & Execution

To add to the project I thought about making a leaflet that explains cleft lip and palate really simple form. Almost like questions. The idea was to get people to pick up through the bright colours and proving a conversation about. While I was making them and cutting. So many people were asking me about it, because it looked 'cool'. There was so much prototyping, trialling to print and so many mistakes trying to get the design to match up.

I kept trying to flip the design so it would print the right way round. I tried printing on different printers (laser printer, inkjet printer) I would have got them printed in print shop but unfortunately they didn't print double sided. As such I trialed paper such as different weight card to different coat finishes so it was nice and clean, and that they looked good. (You can see these in my physical submission) There was inconsistency with the ink on darker colours, which meant they were not as successful as the lighter colour designs.

I learnt how to combine PDF files in adobe acrobat, there was a lot of trialing and testing of what way round I needed to put them in the file and what side I needed to flip the page in the printer, so that I was able to print them double sided and cut them down to size, without having to print each one individually as I first trialed.

It worked but I was very time consuming to do so. So to save me money on printing credits I figured out a way to print twice as many of them for the same price.

I didn't plan on making these but they worked out well. I wanted to get them printed instead of printing them myself, but because I decided to add them in at the last stage I wouldn't have received them on time for submission. However, I plan on getting them done properly for degree show.

I wanted to keep them really simple because I didn't want to overload the information. If I was able to break it down in lea-men terms then anyone would be able to understand what it is.
