KISS - KEEP IT SUPER SIMPLE

For this lesson I chose to do my outcome in the style of Tad Carpenter.

I chose to keep the outcome as simple as possible. I was originally going to do an outcome based on the band KISS making them solid block colour vectors.

However I found that would be too predictable and they did not really work with the designer and his style. I rethought the design idea and came up with a monster character like the characters Carpenter designed. I decided to focus more on the super aspect of the saying and created a super hero monster that would fly across the city. This incorporated the design aspect from my illustrator and the lesson (KISS)

I chose to make my buildings more geometric on purpose and nothing like the buildings Carpenter previously designed. However, I created a rough outline of the buildings using the stylised line in Adobe Illustrator. The Monster was hand drawn in illustrator and animated in Adobe after effects. The outcome resulting in a short but to the point clip which can be seen below. If I was to improve the outcome I would have made the character more to the right aswell making the video longer and possibly change the skyline to something more iconic like London, New York etc.

I chose to use a iconic super hero sound track to reinforce the "SUPER HERO" aspect.
