WWE - Project Review
For this project I enjoyed thinking how far we would be able to push the idea with the Client. We went big because of the budget and money they could potentially put in to it, thus the reasoning for thinking about linking famous rappers such as Jay-Z, Eminem & Snoop Dogg
It was great to collaborate with just Adila and Rosie on this project as we had not worked on a brief just us three yet and the outcome was great. Because we understood how each other worked we would be able to split and cover more ground quicker in the time available. Adila would make the deck and me and Rosie would help to fill in the gaps with visuals and ideas. We were a great team and we were able to get our idea and concept across with great ease because of the development of our pitching skills over the course of the entire unit. We understood exactly what WWE wanted. We allocated time to practise our pitch before hand so we knew what everyone was saying so no-one would speak over one another.
What did I learn?
During this project I learnt a lot about time management skills a whole great deal more than in the other projects. This was because during this brief we were working on two other briefs. We were working on the connect awards as well as the Degree show. I had to learn very quickly to divide my time well.
I think I also found this brief the most challenging of the briefs, because we needed to think on a grand scale. We had to think of an idea that could have the potential to be global!
What would I change?
On reflection I think if I did not try to do so much we could have spent more time on this brief even though I am really proud of how we pulled through it in the end, I know if I had spent more time on the video I would have been able to figure out how to make it more of a rap/ auto - tuned. However, from my research I found that those videos take days to make. One guy said he has to find and go through over 100 hours worth of footage to then cut down and edit.
Other than the video I think we could have possibly made the logo better because I thought it was rather clunky but other than that I was really proud of how we worked together and stuck it out. Especially working on the two other briefs because it was a real insight into how it would be to work on multi-briefs at once like it would when we go out to work in industry.
