YCN - Art Fund_ Trial and Error_
It was today that I realised after speaking with Xavi and Derek I was creating new art when the art already exists. I am basically making another 'exhibition' which is in essence saying that my art installation is better than going to art galleries that house famous art in them. So it was back to the drawing board with my ideas and concepts.
My next idea involved Super Graphics, as art is all about perspective, which as such changes from individual to individual. My idea was to take famous pieces of art and magnify and exaggerate a small aspect of them, as such you had to stand in a specific spot to see the full and bigger picture.

I experimented with mock-ups of the idea in Cinema 4d playing with placement of the artwork. I then realised that I did not have enough time to create the super graphics I intended to and it did not really link back to the brief. I was not feeling that the idea was suited to the brief.

However, from this idea I was then lead onto the idea of Scratch and Sniff posters that had copy along the lines of Scratch this - 'this smells likes you nans baking' - if you have time to sniff this poster you have time to see some art. find your local gallery @ Artfund.org. However after a long discussion with Steve, the activation of getting people to touch and sniff the posters was a bit of a reach. It was also a point from Brian 'what happens after the smells gone' 'how long do they last for?' which made me realise this idea may not work out in the real world. And again I wasn't feeling this idea either. I went through quite a few trials before I like the idea of creating a music festival inspired experience. Which meant that I came full circle in my ideas and concepts. Taking me back to the original concept, but slightly different.
